Who?
Who are swingers?

You'd be surprised! Most any couple can be swingers. They might be your doctor, lawyer, coworker, even neighbor! At one club we go to we meet two couples that had known each other for 12 years, worked on PTA and scouts together, and just recently ran into each other at an event!

Rules.
Are there any rules to swinging?

As in all forms of social interaction there are rules. They vary from group to group but all groups have these: No means NO! What you see and who you see at an event stays there! Other rules of polite social behavior always apply.

Why?
Why do people swing?

Many couples feel that there is a major difference between sex and love. They also feel that only having sex with someone you love is not natural, and the though of going through life having sex with just one person is really strange.

How do I bring it up?
How do I start talking to him/her?

Many couples have gotten started like us, by talking during sex or watching a XXX movie. We got started watching a film of threesomes and asked what do you think of that. Others have mentioned that they got started fantasizing during sex involving a toy say.

We really like the idea but are not sure.

If the idea really gets both of you going and you are just nervous about doing anything about it then you are perfectly normal! At this point go to the section on social clubs find one in your area and attend a function.

How will this affect our marriage?
Will this solve problems in a troubled marriage?

Yes it most certainly will! It will end it quicker that anything else! swinging is not a way to fix a bad marriage unless the acceptable fix is a divorce!

How will this affect our sex life?
We've been married 12 years and things are in a rut how will this affect us?

Many couples have told us they were in your same situation and now they are acting like teenagers again with each other. For us we find that sex builds up just before an event and then is very frequent for a few days after. We often get started just talking about a couple we were with or an event we are considering going to.

What about STD's?
We really like the idea just don't want to die from it!

We have spent a lot of time talking to others in the lifestyle about this before we started and felt exactly like you two do. We were surprised to find that no one has ever heard of a couple getting AIDS from swinging. The reasons are pretty straight forward. From my reading from the CDC it seems that getting AIDS from unprotected sex is pretty hard except for anal sex, or having anal sex with a bi-male. The swinging community shuns bi-males, is very intolerant about drugs, and is very protection orientated. The other reason is couples don't seem to go out and have sex outside the community and that keeps them in a way less promiscus than singles or at least less at risk. The old rule does apply when in doubt use protection.

Contraception?
Who is responsible for contraception?

This is unfair but it's up to the woman. Many of the men in the lifestyle have vasectomies but not all. As always talk before sex!
